Carved from a single block of natural white marble, the Lotus Urli is one of EOD's most meditative marble forms — a wide, shallow bowl with twelve pointed lotus-petal tips that travel around the full perimeter in sharp, angular relief. Deep radiating grooves run from the rim inward to a single central point, like a lotus bloom seen from directly above, or still water breaking into perfect symmetry.

It holds water effortlessly — float plumeria or rose petals for a puja setting, scatter marigold petals for a festive offering, or simply place it on a console as a sculptural object that needs nothing inside it to feel complete. It works equally well as a flower urli, a jewellery and key tray, or a centrepiece vessel on a coffee table or dining sideboard.

Available in two sizes — the compact 6 inch everyday accent and the statement 9 inch centrepiece.

  • Pointed lotus-petal rim — twelve angular tips travel the full perimeter in sharp, hand-carved relief, finished by artisans in Rajasthan
  • Deep radiating interior grooves — carved channels run from a single central point outward to the rim, catching light differently from every angle
  • Natural white marble — milky with a soft blue-grey translucency where the marble is thinnest; natural veining unique to every piece
  • Waterproof basin — holds water for floating flower arrangements, puja use and ritual offerings
  • Versatile use — decorative bowl, flower urli, jewellery tray, key dish, puja vessel, centrepiece
  • Gift-ready — arrives in a branded Elements of Decor kraft box with thank-you card

Note: Natural marble has inherent variation in veining, tone and texture. No two pieces are identical — this is a feature, not a flaw.

6 inch: ~15cm diameter · ~5cm depth
9 inch: ~23cm diameter · ~5cm depth

Care

Wipe with a clean dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or acidic liquids, which can etch the surface. For marble, a food-safe stone sealer applied once a year keeps the material looking its best. For brass, a light coat of mineral oil returns the warm lustre.

Shipping & Returns

All our pieces are held as ready stock — not made to order — so orders ship within 2-4 business days of purchase. Each piece is carefully packed and cushioned for transit. If something arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photos and we'll arrange a replacement or refund. Once an item sells out, it's removed from sale until the next batch of stock arrives.

The Story

Every piece has a story.

Every piece begins as a question — what does this material want to become? Stone has grain, memory, weight. We don’t fight it. We find the form already inside it, then spend weeks coaxing it out. The same is true of metal, worked by hand until it holds a shape it was never forced into.

Nothing here is stamped from a mould at scale. Every piece that reaches your home was touched, individually, by someone who knew what they were making — and why it mattered to make it well.
