Handcrafted pieces last for generations when they're cared for the right way. Here's how to keep your Elements of Decor pieces looking their best.

Marble (Urlis)

Our urlis are carved from natural marble quarried in Silvassa. Marble is porous, so a little care goes a long way:

  • Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Dry immediately with a separate soft cloth.
  • Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, vinegar, or acidic liquids — these can dull or etch the natural surface over time.
  • If using your urli with water and floating petals or diyas, empty and dry it after use rather than leaving water standing for extended periods.
  • Avoid placing hot items (like heated diyas or hot cookware) directly on the surface for prolonged periods.
  • Natural veining and slight tonal variation are part of the stone — not something to try to clean away.

Metal Vases (Aurum, Oria, Elio)

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain shine.
  • For hand-etched brass pieces like Aurum, an occasional light polish with a brass-safe cloth will help maintain the antique finish — avoid abrasive polishes that can strip the detailing.
  • For hammered silver-finish pieces like Oria, avoid prolonged exposure to very warm, direct light, which can affect how the finish reads.
  • Keep away from prolonged direct moisture to prevent tarnishing.

Metal Candle & Tealight Holders

  • Allow candles to cool completely before cleaning wax drips or residue.
  • Use a soft cloth for regular dusting; a slightly damp cloth for wax residue, followed by thorough drying.
  • Always use holders on a heat-safe surface and never leave lit candles unattended.

The Aurelia Tree & Sculptural Pieces

  • Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth, working carefully around branch details.
  • Avoid placing in direct, harsh sunlight for extended periods, which can affect the gold finish over time.

General Guidelines

All our pieces are handcrafted, which means small imperfections — a slight asymmetry, a subtle tonal shift — are part of the making process, not flaws. With basic care, these pieces are made to be lived with and loved for years, not just displayed once.
